"How much will it cost?" is the first question every business owner asks, and the honest answer is: it depends on a few things you can control.
What drives the price
- Number of screens. A 5-page website and a 60-screen ERP are very different projects.
- Features. Logins, payments, reports, notifications and integrations each add work.
- Platforms. Web only is cheapest. Android and iOS apps add more, though a shared codebase keeps the cost down.
- Design depth. A clean template-based look costs less than a fully custom design system.
- Data migration. Moving years of data from spreadsheets takes real effort.
How to get a number you can trust
- Write down the three problems you want the software to solve.
- List who will use it: you, staff, customers.
- Ask for a fixed quote with scope, timeline and payment milestones, not an hourly estimate that can grow.
- Start with the smallest version that solves the main problem. You can add features later.
Red flags
- A price with no written scope.
- No demos until the end of the project.
- You don't get the source code at launch.
At ProQen we give a fixed price and timeline after a short call, show a working version every week and hand over all source code at launch. Ask for a quote and we'll reply within one working day.
